I have always grown up knowing that I would be singing my whole life (ironically since I was born deaf until I was miraculously healed).
It has always enthralled me. Music has been with me through everything, and has helped me get through everything.
With a long history of near death experiences (3 drug overdoses in 2002, almost fatal asthma attack in 2003, car accident in 2004, rare lung disease resulting in coma in 2005),
music had always connected me with myself, with my thoughts, feelings, and since 2004 most importantly with God. I learned to express myself in a way that I couldn't in any other way.
I desired to have more and more connection in this way, so I began to write music when I was 12. My love for music and singing only increased as I came to know the Lord.
The Lord has brought me through rough times, and He has continued to bless me with using my passion to connect deeper with Him.
God took my life of self destruction and transformed it into something exciting and beautiful. God has brought me over seas to Central Africa, living there for 5 months, and singing there in Swahili and Kinyarwanda.
He continues to bring me places beyond my greatest imagination. Now I am so grateful and excited to join the journey of singing with Beyond Blue and am looking forward to the adventures God will bring us together.
